OUR HISTORY

Founded in 2013 by Rachel Kilbury and Bridget Liddell, the University of Dayton's Women in Business started with just 10 members. Over the years, WIB has grown a tremendous amount and now supports 100 members in the Dayton community. Through innovative programs, events, and collaborative workshops, WIB fosters growth and builds confidence. With a commitment to leadership development, Women in Business helps those to find their passion and lead with purpose.

RACHEL KILBURY DONAHUE

Rachel graduated from the University of Dayton with Finance and Business Economics degrees. Outside of WIB, she was a part of The Davis Center for Portfolio Management throughout her years at Dayton. After graduating in 2014, Rachel went on to work at J.P. Morgan Chase in Chicago as an Investment Management Analyst.

BRIDGET LIDDELL GROUP

Bridget graduated from the University of Dayton with a Management Information Systems degree. Outside of WIB, Bridget was Chief Information Officer of Flyer Enterprises. After graduation, Bridget worked in healthcare IT before attending law school at Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Bridget is admitted to the Indiana bar and is Corporate Counsel for Harmony Healthcare IT in South Bend, IN.

The University of Dayton's Women in Business Organization is dedicated to empowering women. Through the implementation of innovative programs and services that promote professional development, WIB helps foster growth and builds confidence among its members. 

 

Our areas of focus in include:

  • Building a network within the University and greater Dayton community

  • Finding one's brand 

  • Building friendships and making connections

  • Professional workshops to prepare members for the workforce

  • Leadership development

 

Through these areas of focus, we build confidence, help those to find their passion, and create future leaders.

Women in Business provides members with the opportunity to strengthen professional relationships and enhance skills needed for success. Through our many events and workshops, members are able to gain knowledge of the business world and network with  professionals.

Committed to the University of Dayton’s mission to serve, Women in Business works to positively impact both our campus and greater Dayton community. Each year, our members plan and participate in numerous service projects to support organizations and individuals in the Dayton area.

Women in Business fosters both professional growth and meaningful relationships among members. By offering numerous opportunities for members to connect in social settings, our shared goals and experiences create long lasting friendships. From small gatherings at members homes, to collaborative activities on campus, to enjoying evenings in Dayton, Women in Business creates strong connections and fun memories.
