OUR HISTORY

The University of Dayton's Women in Business was started in 2013 by Rachel Kilbury and Bridget Liddell. When it first began, there were 10 members. Over the past 4 years, WIB has grown a tremendous amount. WIB now has over 75 members along with new programs, events, and workshops. UD's WIB is continuously growing and building leadership opportunities along the way.

RACHEL KILBURY DONAHUE

Rachel graduated from the University of Dayton with Finance and Business Economics degrees. Outside of WIB, she was a part of The Davis Center for Portfolio Management throughout her years at Dayton. After graduating in 2014, Rachel went on to work at J.P. Morgan Chase in Chicago as an Investment Management Analyst.

BRIDGET LIDDELL GROUP

Bridget graduated from the University of Dayton with a Management Information Systems degree. Outside of WIB, Bridget was Chief Information Officer of Flyer Enterprises. After graduation, Bridget worked in healthcare IT before attending law school at Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Bridget is admitted to the Indiana bar and is Corporate Counsel for Harmony Healthcare IT in South Bend, IN.

The University of Dayton's Women in Business Organization is dedicated to empowering women through the implementation of innovative programs and services that promote professional development.

Our areas of focus in include:

  • building a network within the University community and greater Dayton community

  • finding one's brand throughout one's time in WIB

  • building friendships within WIB

  • professional workshops to prepare members for the workforce

  • leadership development

Through these areas of focus, we are trying to lead, serve, and succeed while finding our keys to success.

Participation in Women in Business affords members the opportunity to strengthen professional relationships and enhance skills necessary for success in the business world. Members are able to gain knowledge of the business world and create lasting networks with business professionals.

In keeping with the University of Dayton's mission to serve, Women in Business is committed to serving our campus and community. Each year, members create and execute a number of service projects to benefit various people and organizations in the Dayton area.

Women in Business members know how to have fun! It is only natural that women who share similar goals and challenges will also want to share friendships and create lasting memories. Members have numerous opportunities to bond with each other in social settings. They can be found in small gatherings at a member's home, doing an activity together on campus, or out on the town for a night of fun.
